Germany, Kriegsmarine. An Officer’s Tropical M43 Field Cap United Republic of engraved "PRESENTED TO JOHN MITIAS(Kriegsmarine Tropenfelddienstmtze). Constructed of ribbed cotton twill with gently sloping side panels towards a scalloped front with silver aluminum bullion embroidery along the crown of the cap and the downward sloping panels. The cap features two plain ventilation grommets on each side in between the top crown and scalloped edged seam.
