Mermaid 1 - Small A174249 This is a giclee print

This is a giclee print of an original etching depicting a pool float seemingly hovering over the clear blue ripples of a pool

then affixed to a cradled wood panel with PVA

Custom fitted top is hot-sculpted with no post-fabrication and matches base colors and accents

while shoji comes into play via the the mitered top frame surrounding seven floating iterations of the traditional asa-no-ha—also known as the hemp leaf— kumiko pattern in basswood

The stand is designed with a heavy 1" thick steel base to avoid it being top heavy and unstable
